Manchester United reverses arrears at Everton
Chelsea were still behind Sheffield United after nine minutes by a goal from David McGoldrick. The Irishman completed a nice attack by the visitors with a ticker behind his standing leg.
Fifteen minutes later, Tammy Abraham tied the score. A long pass from Ziyech was returned by Mateo Kovacic, after which Abraham found the net with a shot to the left corner.
Ziyech was also involved in the 2-1 ten minutes later. Thanks to a beautiful pass from the former Ajax player, Ben Chilwell was able to easily work the ball in from close range. In between Chelsea’s two goals, Timo Werner hit the bar from a free kick.
Fifteen minutes before the end, Ziyech also delivered the assist on the 3-1. The Moroccan international put the ball from a beautiful free kick from the right side of the field ready for Thiago Silva, who simply headed home. Moments later, Ziyech put Werner in an excellent position, but the German shot just wide. A minute later, Werner did score.
Thanks to the victory, Chelsea climbs to third place with fifteen points from eight games. The gap to leaders Southampton and Liverpool is one point. ‘The Reds’ will still visit Manchester City on Sunday.

Earlier in the day, Manchester United also seemed to take a downer against Everton. The home team took the lead in the nineteenth minute by a goal from Bernard, who shot the ball into the ground from about 20 meters.
United, however, straightened their back and had a 1-2 lead before half time by two hits from Bruno Fernandes. The star first scored in the 25th minute with a header and seven minutes later because his cross was not touched by anyone.
In the second half, United held up relatively easily and it ran to 1-3 deep in injury time. Summer purchase Edinson Cavani finally made his first goal for his new club on the instructions of Fernandes. Donny van de Beek stayed on the couch at ‘The Red Devils’ throughout the match.
Despite the victory over Everton, United is still only thirteenth in the Premier League. The gap to Liverpool and Southampton is six points. Southampton has played one more game. Everton is fifth.
