Jill and Joe Biden, the US presidential couple from January 2021, maintain good contact with the British royal family. To be more precise: to Prince Harry.
White house meets royal family: Dr. Jill Biden, 69, and Prince Harry, 36, were first photographed together in May 2013 while the Royals were on a trip to the United States. They attend a reception with First Lady Michelle Obama, 56, at the White House in Washington. The trio supports members of the British and US armed forces and their families. Soldiers and veterans are subjects that are dear to both Harry and the two women. The chemistry between the prince and the vice-first lady is right, as the next few years prove.
Prince Harry and Jill Biden are a perfect duo
In September 2014, the Vice First Lady will travel to London for the “Invictus Games” 2014, which Harry initiated. On site she will keep her fingers crossed, especially for the participants from the USA.
A year later, in October 2015, they meet again in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. This time Jill and Harry sit with Michelle Obama in the audience of a basketball game run by the “Wounded Warriors”, a charity for disabled veterans and veterans.
In May 2016 the “Invictus Games” will take place in Orlando – and who is there to support Harry in his sports competition? Joe and Jill Biden. The US Vice President jokes, according to the Daily Mail: “Jill was at the last games in London. She spent a hell of a lot of time with Prince Harry!”
Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan: secret election workers for Joe Biden?
In September 2017, when the “Invictus Games” move on to Toronto, Jill pays Harry another visit.
Will she meet Duchess Meghan, 39, on this occasion? She is also on site; makes her couple debut with Harry in front of the world press.
The Bidens haven’t officially met Harry since then. But maybe in private? Harry and Meghan are said to have indirectly promoted Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, 56, in the 2020 US presidential election. It is only a matter of time before the Royals and the Bidens meet again. Montecito, Harry and Meghan’s new home, is just a stone’s throw from Washington by plane.
