The singer advances his next album with a single in which once again, with his urban imprint, he summons and condenses elements of different genres.
Without a doubt, among the many names that in recent years have been gaining a place in the local music scene, that of WOS resonates with special insistence. And now it reverberates with the sounds of Dirt, the brand new single premiered at 7 p.m. this Thursday, November 5, with which he anticipates what will be his new album.
The news could be the one more launch, in a context in which music packaged and produced in the studio gained part of the huge empty space and silence caused by the coronavirus pandemic, which for the moment almost completely annulled the possibility of the live show.
And although streaming managed, to a certain extent, to alleviate the situation, for the moment it is clear that a transmission through a digital platform is very far from achieving the vibration that the communication established between artists and the public in the experience of the living.
But nevertheless, Valentín Oliva made a difference again in the preview of the video launch on YouTube, where 140 thousand Internet users -something like the equivalent of just over two River courts, anxiously waited for the images of the new theme to be released.
Dirt joins the succession line of the EP Three ellipsis, published at the beginning of the year, and comes out as part of a new combo of his own music, after the artist’s participation in the recently released albums of Thunder and Lisandro Aristimuño.
Dirt it is a track full of strong emotions. Its progressive structure makes it a trip with different places in the sensations that each measure transmits. It shows feelings such as anger and reflects the internal struggle with one’s own ego and at the same time the constant competition of egos. Combines keyboard sounds that give you an epic tint, with powerful basses and percussions to which electric guitars are added to add the hardcore weather that calls for the lyrics.
The futuristic cuts and depth of the voice, in perfect symbiosis with the gospel choruses at the end, make it a complete and delicate work of art. In Dirt Pedro Pasquale, Fran Azorai and the final gospel voice It is from the wonderful Caterina Finocchi.
Produced by Evlay, mixed by Nico Cotton and master by Javier Fracchia, Mugre is released by Doguito Records, an independent record label created by WOS and Peter Ehlrich.
The release also features a video clip filmed by Kevin Zeta and The Movement, which combines drama, action and fantasy in balanced doses. Wos goes from a paralysis, apparently caused by some host that lodges in his body, to a journey between two parallel worlds to reality. One idyllic, full of colors and life, and another, dark, hostile, where fire prevails.
Guided by a symbology that seems to be a common factor on these worlds, WOS, which is currently nominated for a Latin Grammy in the Best New Artist category and just received four Gardel AwardHe ends up finding a being with whom he obviously has some connection.
