For years, the coronavirus pandemic effectively shut down Hollywood’s red carpets — but the tide is turning. 2022 has already seen some daring fashion looks via the VMAs, Emmys, BET Awards, Screen Actors Guild Awards, BAFTAs — and more than one wild look via live concerts. 

Even 2021 with its COVID-affected stop and start schedules was able to deliver a few bold fashion moments.

Here are some of the most outré celebrity looks we’ve seen in recent years.
