Apple iPad Pro models come in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes, with varying specs and prices.

Apple’s iPad lineup has come a long way since its debut in 2010, offering several models for different needs. Content creators and professionals may be drawn to the iPad Pro for its superior M1 or M2 silicon, ultra-bright display, and wealth of software features. The main difference between the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models is size, but there are several other factors to consider when deciding which to buy.

The 11-inch iPad Pro is more portable and weighs about half a pound less than the 12.9-inch model. It also costs about $300 less and accessories are cheaper. It’s the perfect choice for those who need a more portable work machine.

The 12.9-inch iPad Pro, on the other hand, is great for power users who need a larger canvas. It has a brighter mini-LED display and offers a better typing experience due to its larger keyboard and trackpad. It’s also better for artists who prefer a bigger and brighter display.

For students, the 11-inch iPad Pro is the better choice. It’s easier to carry around and accessories are cheaper. Both models come with 5G and LTE support, so the differences to note here are portability and price.

The iPad Pro is a great laptop replacement for some users, but it’s important to note that there are still plenty of pro-grade services and programs that require a desktop or laptop to run, most of which are not optimized for the iPad’s operating system. It’s best to visit a local Apple store to demo the lower-end iPad models first, and if none of them satisfy your work needs, move up to the iPad Pro.
