The messaging service for Android is preparing to land on phones with various modifications.
Tired of those groups that are active even late into the night? The latest beta version of the messaging app WhatsApp promises to resolve these issues, as includes a new feature that lets silence them forever, among other novelties that will arrive in the next update.
At the end of July, the company was working to develop and improve the feature that would allow a group to be silenced forever, and it is now available in the latest beta version of the app for devices with Android operating system (v188.8.131.52).
With this new function in the messenger, users can now choose to silence the groups for eight hours, a week or a year, and in the latest beta of WhatsApp it is replaced the option of one year for “Always” (Always, in its English version).
In the latest beta version, WhatsApp too hide voice and video call options in chats with verified business accounts.
However, this option is still available when selecting the profile icon in the chat and in the contact list, according to the WaBetaInfo site.
With beta version 184.108.40.206 several users received the new storage usage interface and its tools, which helps users to free up space on devices more easily.
With the current beta version of Android, those enrolled in the program who test the new features of the messenger have already begun to receive the new feature.
Finally, WhatsApp will add a feature called “Media Guidelines” with which users can easily align stickers and text when editing images, videos and GIFs.
