The first lady wants to separate from her husband, claims an ex-employee of the current president. Melania Trump is silent. A statement by her spokeswoman from 2018 could shed some light on the dark.
“Melania Trump counts every minute until he’s out of office and she can get a divorce,” claimed Omarosa Manigault Newman, 46, two years ago in her book Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House. In light of the US presidential election, those words hit the headlines again. Insider knowledge cannot be denied to Newman: She met the Trumps in 2003 – a year and a half before their wedding – and worked from January to December 2017 as communications director at the White House.
On January 20, Joe Biden, 77, will take over Donald Trump’s place as Chief of the Oval Office. Has Melania’s hour come then? One does not know. The 50-year-old rarely speaks to rumors about her private life; not currently. When Newman’s book came out, at least one of Melania’s employees commented.
Melania Trump indirectly comments on the rumor of a breakup with Donald Trump
Stephanie Grisham, White House communications director, said in a statement to the US magazine People: “Mrs. Trump rarely, if ever, interacted with Omarosa. It is disappointing to them that they are [Melania] attacked and retaliated in such a selfish way – especially after all the opportunities the president has given her. “Even if no details are mentioned, Melania’s message was clear – at least to the public -: There is nothing in Newman’s statements. The future will show whether this has changed in the meantime and Melania will draw a line under her marriage. BS-Donald-Trump-Melania-your-happiest-couple-photos
The Trumps never argue
In March 2016, Melania gave a rare glimpse into her marriage to Donald Trump. In an interview with Fox News, she said: “We don’t have fights. We disagree, but that’s okay. It’s very good in the relationship.” They are both autonomous and independent, added Melania, and would openly share their opinions with one another.
