Snow and rain storm, warm air to follow, gusty winds, highs in 40s-50s.
After a week of cold and dreary weather, the sun is finally out and temperatures are rising. On Tuesday, most spots should reach the 40s, but colder air will settle in Tuesday night as the next storm from the Southern Plains takes aim at New England. Wednesday morning’s commute should be overcast with a few flakes possible. The storm will bring 3-5 inches of snow, with most spots on the lower end of the range. Rain will take over late Wednesday night as temperatures rise and gusty winds are expected across southeastern Massachusetts. Thursday morning, most of the storm should be gone and highs will reach the 50s in some spots and 40s in others. Friday will be colder, but the weekend should be milder. The pattern should mellow out into early next week, but more storminess is possible by midweek.
