The German brand is already at the top of the electrification of its range. While the first units are already being delivered to customers of the no less novel ID.3, the compact version, last week announced ID.4 prices for the Spanish market that will land with two special launch editions such as the First y el First Max.
For a while now, it’s not something new the growth of SUV-type cars has been spectacular, so much so that they have left the traditional sedans almost as a market niche and little by little they are also gaining ground to the compact ones. That is why, in this electric age, Volkswagen has wanted bet very strongly on the SUV ID.4, the second one hundred percent electric model created from the modular platform MEB.
This global model begins its journey in Europe, but will also be launched in China and the United States, so the factories of the German brand will have to work piecemeal. With everything, Volkswagen has created a 4.6 meter long SUV, modern and robust looking, with five doors, plenty of interior space and a luggage compartment of approximately 540 liters. That is, it will be a car for everything.

The interior is very similar to that of the ID.3, that is, with a large central touch screen up to 12 inches, digital box and a few “physical” controls that are also touch sensitive. The very simplicity makes it modern, and the rest is provided by the decoration itself, which is also supported by LED-illuminated color details.
At the launch it has two finishes, First and First Max, and the prices will be 45,485 and 55,145 euros respectively. Mechanically, these first series are powered by a 150 kW engine (the equivalent of 204 hp) with a autonomy close to 520 kilometers thanks to a 77 kWh battery. With this system, the ID.4 can reach up to 160 km / h top speed and accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.5 seconds. Later the launch of four other mechanical versions that will complete the range.
In terms of equipment and technology, it has l20-inch or 21-inch wheels, LED matrix headlights (adapted to natural light conditions and traffic), Head-Up Display, voice assistant, smartphone connectivity and a large list of driving assistants such as adaptive speed control, traffic sign recognition, emergency braking, etc.
