About a week ago, the first teaser for Monster Hunter, Milla Jovovich’s latest feature film, went online. Now we have the part of a spectacular trailer.

After more than a decade of investing in the Resident Evil movie series, Milla Jovovich and her husband, director and screenwriter Paul WS Anderson have turned their attention to Monster Hunter, another gaming franchise. After showing a superhuman effort to defeat hordes of zombies, Jovovich will face in the new SF some monsters of extraordinary size.

Predictably, we are talking about a high-budget action film that will look spectacular on movie screens around the world, provided they are open until the time of premiere. Otherwise, unfortunately, we will discuss another feature film that will either be postponed or will be available through a streaming service such as Netflix, Apple TV + or Disney +.

In Monster Hunter, Milla Jovovich plays the character of Artemis, the leader of the United Nations military movement. Together with her team, Artemis travels through a portal that seems to be in the form of a sandstorm in a mysterious world, one populated by monsters.

Because they have no experience in confronting monsters, the team led by Artemis ends up calling a character named Hunter, with a little more experience, to defeat them.

If you’ve played any of the popular franchises created by Capcom, including Monster Hunter, you’ll recognize a few monsters in the movie, such as Diablos or Rathalos. Although in the teaser we did not see the oversized swords you recognize from the eponymous video games, they appear in the new trailer and are impressive.

At one point, a flaming sword wielded by Artemis appears, which seems to be quite dangerous.

In an ideal world, Monster Hunter should hit theaters in December this year. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will happen.
