Joey Veerman and trainer Johnny Jansen are happy that sc Heerenveen also won the third league match on Saturday (1-0 against VVV-Venlo), but he is not pleased with how the Frisians played when VVV got red twice.
Veerman: ‘Got a few of me’
The 21-year-old Veerman was responsible for the only goal of the match after half an hour of play, but sc Heerenveen failed to finish after Tobias Pachonik (minute 63) and then Simon Janssen (minute 79) at VVV with red from the field.
“With ten to eleven we had it reasonably under control, but I don’t know what we were doing at nine to eleven. Everyone just wanted to make a goal. We run to the keeper with four against three and then someone makes a weird action and I really can’t understand that ”, said Ferryman Saturday against FOX Sports.
Also trainer Jansen annoyed to the game of his team in the surplus situation. “That phase with nine against eleven, I am really not at all satisfied with that. You have to let the ball go, because then spaces will arise. The young boys started to run with the ball far too much.”

Veerman was forced to leave after the foul by Janssen. Veerman was also the victim of the red card for Pachonik. “They got me a few with some fouls. The first was full over the ball. The second was a bit unhappy. He (Janssen, ed.) Apologized, but it hurt no less.”
Despite the minimal victory, Heerenveen can call itself a fellow leader in the Eredivisie and Veerman and Jansen are proud of that. “We give very little away and it looks fine with us. We can only score one goal and that is enough”, said Veerman.
Jansen: “I am very proud of what we show. It was not good today, but VVV had few chances and we had a few best chances. We are not bad. We do a lot of things really well, but we have to step by step better. “
