The social network reported that it had some technical problems of unknown origin. They are already solved.

Twitter blocked thousands of social network accounts due to an error and reported errors in uploading messages, as the social network acknowledged this afternoon through one of its institutional accounts. The problem lasted for about four hours.

“We are seeing that a number of accounts have been blocked or limited by an error and not because I have tweeted about any particular content, “the company explained.” We are working to undo this and return those accounts to normal, “he added.

In addition, the social network had warned its users about possible delays in updating their timelines.

“You may notice a delay in the appearance of your Tweets in the timelines. We are working to solve this right now,” he alerted at 4:00 p.m. Argentine time.

That problem, as detailed, was solved around 20, that is, four hours later.

From 5:00 p.m., several Argentine users began to complain about the blocking of their accounts.

The profile @ladriguruok made a compilation of some famous profiles that were the subject of the problem:

One of those affected by the massive random blocking of accounts was the former official of the Ministry of Security, Florencia Arietto, an active Twitter user. At 2:50 p.m. she was able to upload her last tweet to the profile @florenciarietto, which was later not only emptied of followers, left to zero, but also blocked.

“Dear, for unknown reasons they restricted my account. That is why I opened this new one,” he informed his followers from a new profile created around 4:00 p.m.

The problems were reported in different countries of the world.

Around 8:30 p.m., Argentine time, Twitter announced that the problem that affected thousands of users had been solved.

“Accounts that were limited or blocked by mistake have already been restored,” the company explained in an apologetic message.
