US President Donald Trump has been seen in public again for the first time since his hospitalization. He got into a car at Walter Reed Hospital around 5:30 p.m. (local time) on Sunday and drove past trailers.
Trump may already go home on Monday
Images show him waving out from behind the window with a mouth mask on. In a video message on Twitter, Trump announced shortly before his ride that he would be making a “surprise visit” to “the patriots” who are on the street.
Trump appreciates the enthusiasm with which his supporters give him a heart. “We have enthusiasm like no one else has”.
In the video message, Trump also says that he has learned a lot about the coronavirus. “I learned it by actually going to school. This is not an I-read-the-book-well-school. I understand and I get it now, it’s really interesting.
A doctor from Walter Reed Hospital has taken to Twitter criticism expressed on the president’s action. “The presidential car is not only bulletproof, but also hermetically sealed against chemical attack.” The risk of contamination with COVID-19 inside is very high, the doctor said. “The irresponsibility is amazing. Everyone who was in the car has now been quarantined for two weeks.”

Earlier on Sunday, Sean Conley, the president’s personal physician, said Trump’s condition is improving. He may be allowed to leave Walter Reed military hospital in Bethesda on Monday.
During Sunday’s press conference, doctors gave more details about Trump’s health, including oxygen levels in his blood. For example, these values fell twice below the minimum on Friday and Saturday. For this, the president was given supplemental oxygen in the White House on Friday.
Because the president’s fever was also very high, it was then decided to transfer him to the military hospital. On Saturday, Conley tried to avoid questions about the supplemental oxygen for Trump. Several American media already reported that the 74-year-old president had received extra oxygen.
Trump was hospitalized on Friday after testing positive for the coronavirus and his health deteriorating.
