France faces a new home confinement. Although it has some differences with the one experienced in March, the population is aware of the situation that awaits them, and for this reason many have decided to leave Paris to travel to their city of origin or their second residence, leaving images of collapsed roads throughout the city.
It all happened on Thursday night, when the confinement came into effect, which will last a month. Social networks began to fill with images and messages commenting on the brutal exodus of the Parisian population, which was reminiscent of images seen in movies in which it seems that the world is ending.
Incredible traffic jam in Paris as people try to leave the city before 9 pm curfew and before confinement begins at midnight. Traffic is barely moving in every direction as far as the eye can see. Lots of honking and frustrated drivers. pic.twitter.com/6Zn2HCxuPl

Total, 700 kilometers spread over all the exits of the city of Paris were stuck and with very little movement, according to informed The Parisian. The last time something similar happened was in 2018 due to heavy snowfall that collapsed traffic and left many roads unused.
In the rules of this confinement, as in the previous one, citizens are allowed to return to their city of origin, so the Parisians took advantage of Thursday afternoon to leave the city, before the curfew entered, to 9:00 p.m., and above all before the confinement was decreed, at 00.00 hours.
