Perhaps the most exciting small car of recent years is the Toyota GR Yaris: with its extreme all-wheel drive and 261-horsepower three-cylinder turbo engine, it doesn’t matter if the car is a homologation version of the Yaris WRC, meaning it not only goes like a race car.
We almost wrote that it looks like a racing car, but that’s exactly the problem: that it doesn’t. Despite the hollow grille, double exhaust, the GR Yaris doesn’t look like you want to bite your head off.
However, there is a solution, even if only for the time being in Japan: the car developer Gazoo Racing has developed a complete optical package for the car.
It consists of only three elements: the front spoiler, the side aprons and the spoiler integrated in the rear bumper are available in glossy black, no need to polish. All three elements are effective individually, and together they completely transform the look of the car, optically moving its center of gravity deeper.
Additional elements can be added to the package: a more militant-sounding exhaust (mandatory!), A strip running along the side wall, or a carbon-fiber (effect) panel fitted to the instrument panel.
There is no question of selling the package in Europe yet, but it is unlikely to stand in the way of those who want to get the items privately. The whole thing is so fresh yet that prices are not yet available.
