Despite missing some important matches, Toronto Football Club advanced to the final with a 2-1 victory over Leon Club in the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Champions League held in Florida on Wednesday.
Patrick Mullins and Justin Morrow scored a goal for Toronto on Wednesday. Fernando Navarro answered in the 80th minute, but Mexico failed to draw.
The duel was originally scheduled to be held at Osceola Heritage Park, a temporary residence in Toronto, but due to the layout of the location, CONCACAF opposed it. The duel was finally held at the ESPN Global Arena, which is about 30 minutes away by car.
