It was already hit after two minutes for the 25-year-old Ómarsson. From a corner kick, the top scorer of the Kitchen Champion Division was able to open the score for the team of trainer Marinus Dijkhuizen from close by.
Shortly after the break, the Icelander doubled the lead for the home team. TOP Oss goalkeeper Bo Geens misjudged a high pass and Ómarsson did not fail for an empty goal. His third goal of the evening and thirteenth of the season came a few minutes before time. He pointed the ball beautifully over Geens.
Thanks to the big victory at TOP Oss, Excelsior is currently in eighth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. The team from Rotterdam, who are now unbeaten for five games in a row, have seventeen points from eleven games. TOP Oss remains seventeenth.

In a special game in Velsen-Zuid, Telstar lost to Go Ahead Eagles: 1-2. Substitute Jacob Mulenga was the big man for the visitors from Deventer with two goals, after Glynor Plet had opened the score for the home team.
In the run-up to the meeting in the IJmond Stadium, Telstar sold some 22,500 tickets to raise money for the Supporter Casper foundation. For 1.63 euros per ticket – referring to the founding year of Telstar (1963) – people could buy a ticket, while they are not allowed to attend the game due to the corona measures.
According to commercial director Natascha van Grinsven, Telstar has never sold so many tickets since 1972. The proceeds from the fundraising campaign will go to Feyenoord club doctor Casper van Eijck’s research into pancreatic cancer.
With the victory, Go Ahead Eagles rises to eleventh place in the ranking of the Kitchen Champion Division. Telstar’s tenth place is not in danger.
