At least two people have died Y several have resulted wounds, one very serious, for attack with knife occurred in the French town of Nice. The mayor of the city, Christian Estrosi, has affirmed that, according to the first indications, “everything suggests” that it is a terrorist attack.
He attack took place around 9 a.m. next to the Notre Dame church of Nice and has settled with at least two deaths, according to sources cited by the BFMTV chain. The Interior Minister, Gérald Darmanin, has called an emergency meeting and has urged citizens to avoid the area.
Estrosi, who has traveled to the scene of the attack, has also issued the same recommendation, although it has confirmed that the alleged aggressor has been arrested.
Throughout the morning the Minister of the Interior will be deployed to the scene, so will Emmanuel Macron, as confirmed by the deputy of Les Républicains and departmental councilor for the Alpes-Maritimes, Eric Ciotti.
