Since Friday, LO, YS and NHO have been sitting down and negotiating at a hotel in Oslo, and this year’s previous theme is an interim solution. After a long closed-door tug-of-war, the two sides finally reached an agreement on Sunday afternoon.
The solution includes more than 190,000 workers across the country, especially in places with connections to industrial workers.
Nevertheless, the so-called first-line settlement still laid the framework for various negotiations in the spring. Therefore, it can be regarded as a guideline for how much most Norwegians can expect in this year’s salary settlement.
-NHO has negotiated with LO to set the financial framework at 2.7%. State agent Mats W. Ruland said at a press conference that the framework includes a general supplement of NOK 2.25 and a low salary supplement of NOK 1.
The upper limit of 2.7% is 0.1% lower than the requirement of LO for mediation, which is also in line with Norway’s expected price growth this year.
Therefore, Norwegians may have to prepare for the real wage decline in 2021.
For industrial workers whose wages are NOK 506,100, the restriction means that the average wage has increased by NOK 13,665.
On the other hand, if your annual salary is 400,000 NOK, the salary settlement will increase by 10,800 NOK. If the salary is 1 million Swedish krona, the salary increase is 27,000 Swedish krona.
It is still important to remember that this is the average salary.
In the Krona and Eure provinces, settlements increase the total income per person by 2.25 krona, or less than 4,400 krona per year.

On the other hand, the composition of supplements in various industries will vary within the overall framework of 2.7%. The supplement is effective from April 1.
