The brand with the four rings continues fed its range with new proposals in the fashion segment, in the SUV, and now it does it with a new body of the coupe type on the basis of the well-known Q5.
The first thing that stands out is its attractive and sporty silhouette following the line already seen in the Q3 or in the e-tron Sportback. The steep inclination of the rear window contributes to the so powerful appearance of this model seen from behind, while from the front the most relevant is the “Singleframe” grill of the brand or the distinctive light signature of the optics, with LED technology as standard.
With a length of 4.69 meters, the Q5 Sportback is 7 millimeters longer than the Q5. Height and width are identical while the drag coefficient of 0.30 is lower.
Trunk, for its part, has a capacity of 510 liters, which increases to 1,480 liters with the rear seats folded, taking advantage of the space up to the ceiling. Audi also offers the rear bench plus that has longitudinal distance adjustment for passenger legs and with adjustable backrest in inclination.
At the time of its launch, the Q5 Sportback will have three engines, two TDIs, with 163 and 204 hp of power, and a TFSI of 265 hp. They all add a microhybridization which contributes to improving efficiency. The two most powerful versions also add quattro traction and in all of them in origin the change is automatic S tronic of 7 relations.
SQ5 TDI with 341 hp of power
The icing on this section is the SQ5 TDI that mounts a three-liter diesel engine with 341 hp. Its features are very sporty as it only takes 5.1 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km / h. This propeller also has a 48V microhybridization and the gearbox is 8-speed Tiptronic automatic.
The Audi Q5 Sportback is equipped with numerous driver assistance systems such as the Audi pre sense city, which is part of the standard equipment, optional adaptive cruise control or predictive efficiency assistant, which helps to drive effectively. The optionally available Turn and Exit Assists or Rear Cross Traffic Assist also enhance safety.
For controls, displays and the infotainment system, this model uses the same technology as the updated Q5. In the highest versions of the range Audi virtual cockpit plus instrumentation is included as standard, with 12.3 inch screen, and the MMI system for navigation plus has a 10.1 inch screen.
