Dacia has in its portfolio the Duster model – an SUV that sells extremely well in Europe, but is preparing to come with the first electric model. Citroen, however, is one step ahead.
Citroen announces that its C5 Aircross hybrid SUV model is available in Romania. The importer of the brand shows that the model is present at all dealers in the country. The C5 Aircross has an engine that develops up to 200 horsepower and can run, over short distances, exclusively electric.
Hybrid charging engine means a 1.6-liter petrol engine and an electric motor with which it can run about 50 km. The PureTech engine has 180 hp, and the electric motor also offers 80kW, the two being connected with an e-EAT8 automatic transmission, so that the power of the system reaches 225 hp and the maximum torque at 320 Nm.
Citroen C5 Aircross, the SUV that makes you forget about Dacia
The electric autonomy of the model is ensured by a 13.2 kWh Li-Ion battery, which is located in the back of the car. Battery charging time at a maximum outlet of 7.4 kW in two hours, while at a household outlet of 3.7 kW, charging can take up to 7 hours. The propulsion system offers a very good average consumption, 1.7 liters / 100 km, corresponding to a CO2 emission level of 39 g / km.
Here are some features of the Citroen SUV.
You have 3 rear seats, individual, sliding, reclining, less common in the automotive industry, and a trunk volume ranging from 460 to 600 liters, a record size in the C-SUV segment.
Also, the progressive hydraulic suspension and laminated windows with insulating layer are elements that contribute to increased comfort in the passenger compartment.
The Citroen C5 Aircross is produced in France at the Rennes plant and has been available in European markets since the summer of this year. In Romania, it can be ordered at prices starting from 40,800 euros, almost double compared to the entry version, with 1.2 petrol engine. It’s double compared to Dacia, it’s true, but it clearly offers you more.
