After the United States, the countries with the most fatalities are Brazil with 159,884 deaths and 5,535,605 cases, India with 122,111 deaths (8,184,082 cases), Mexico with 91,753 deaths (924,962 cases) and the United Kingdom with 46,555 deaths (1,011. 660 cases).

Among the hardest hit countries, Peru records the highest mortality rate, with 105 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants, followed by Belgium (100), Spain (77) and Brazil (75).

China, without taking into account the territories of Hong Kong and Macao, recorded a total of 85,997 people infected, of which 4,634 died and 81,004 were fully healed.

On Sunday and since the beginning of the epidemic, Latin America and the Caribbean added 402,164 deaths (11,316,343 infections), Europe 278,774 (10,467,341), the United States and Canada 240,692 (9,361,542), Asia 170,843 (10,573,913 ), Middle East 59,734 (2,558,533), Africa 42,880 (1,787,176) and Oceania 1,022 (34,598).

This balance was made using data from national authorities collected by AFP offices and with information from the World Health Organization (WHO).
