The specter of war still haunts Liberia

200,000 people died and 2 million people were displaced. From 1989 to 2003, the civil war that tore up the West African country continued to hurt its residents. French photographer Elliott Verdier set out to welcome the crowd, from which he drew a series of portraits and audio proofs.
