The Seventh Art – Cinema and Industry rekindles the spotlight on the film industry and brings to Rimini two days, 10 and 11 October, of free events open to all.

The event, now in its second edition and organized by Confindustria Romagna, Cinema Fulgor, University of Bologna – Science Department for the Quality of Life of Rimini and in collaboration with the Municipality of Rimini, launches a restart signal and is proposed as appointment for dialogue, meeting and comparison.
The professions of the sector will be told through the relationship with other intellectual and cultural realities: cinema / comics, cinema / music, cinema / journalism, cinema / theater, cinema / architecture, cinema / literature.
At the center of the 2020 edition, inserted within the celebrations of Fellini 100, the tribute to the great Rimini director – on the occasion of the centenary of his birth – who will be remembered with a series of events and by many protagonists of the cinema sector, starting with the three-time Oscar-winning set designer Dante Ferretti, who will be in Rimini to meet the public at the Fulgor cinema, for which he created the sets for the restoration.
Preview Friday 9 October with “The Seventh Art – Opening Night” and projection of Fellini of the Spirits, the documentary film by Anselma Dell’Olio which tells for the first time the spiritual, psychoanalytic and supernatural world of Fellini.
To pay homage to Fellini the cartoonist and director will arrive in Rimini Igort, that Saturday 10 October in the meeting “From cinema to comics and back”, will present a preview at La Settima Arte – Cinema e Industria 5 unpublished works created specifically for the centenary with Giorgio Carpinteri, Andrea Serio, Leila Marzocchi, Grazia La Padula.
Igort will also meet the public before the screening of his film 5 is the perfect number. Played by Toni Servillo, Valeria Golino, Carlo Buccirosso, the film has received numerous awards, including the David di Donatello 2020 and the Nastro d’Argento 2020 for best supporting actress, Valeria Golino.
On the stage of the Galli theater in Rimini Sunday 11 October the actor Ivano Marescotti, during the handover ceremony of Confindustria Romagna Cinema and Industry Award, will perform in a performance in honor of Federico Fellini and Tonino Guerra and the centenary of their birth.
The Cinema and Industry Award is attributed to the figures who have distinguished themselves in the universe of the professions in the sector, such as producers, distributors, screenwriters, set designers, costume designers, composers, directors of photography chosen by a jury of experts chaired by Pupi Avati, which will be present at the Galli theater. The award ceremony, as in the first edition, will be presented by Franco Di Mare Director of RAI 3.
Marescotti, on Sunday morning at the Fulgor, he will hold the meeting “Romagna Tragicomica” between “cinema and theater”, in which he will talk about the long career that ranges between theater, cinema and television and which led him to work with great directors on stages throughout Italy and in over 50 films.

In the context of “cinema and music” the composer from Santarcangelo and member of the Academy of the Oscars Andrea Guerra, on Sunday 11 October, he will be at Giometti Cinema – Multipex Le Befane for a matinee in which he will talk about his experience in a career full of successes.
The film producer, publisher, entrepreneur, record company, founder of Fandango Domenico Procacci, will recount the adventure of Fandango explaining the secret of a success that has been able to do business by combining cinema, publishing and music, quality and artistic production.
The analysis of the script, literature and female production is entrusted to Laura Paolucci, screenwriter and producer from Rimini in an appointment made in collaboration with Meclimone cinematographic productions.
For “cinema and theater” the collaboration between La Settima Arte Cinema e Industria and Santarcangelo dei Teatri opens, with the participation of Compagnia movement who will intervene at the party presenting the idea and experience of mixing artistic genres that has always been behind the company’s project.
In addition, spaces dedicated to training, with meetings and webinars addressed to professionals of different orders such as journalists and architects.
As a tribute to Fellini, the Conference “Fellini and the sacred – Childhood of the world” at the City Museum and the “Fellini and the Sacred” event at the Galli Theater, organized as part of the Fellini and the Sacred project promoted by the Salesian Pontifical University, the Faculty of Social Communication Sciences, the Paolo VI Cultural Center, the Higher Institute of Sciences Religious Alberto Marvelli, Fellini 100.
