From Tuesday, October 20, a very tight schedule will be held together with the Copa Libertadores and Sudamericana, and the Qualifiers towards the World Cup in Qatar 2022.
The months of standstill imposed by the coronavirus pandemic and the decision to complete the tournaments in progress or start others (as in the case of the Professional League) configured a very tight schedule in the next three months, which will include activity even on days as unusual for Argentine soccer as December 25 and January 1.
The restart of the South American Cup (October 27) and the domestic activity with the Professional League Cup 2020 (Friday 30), which will then be followed by the definitions of the promotions of the promotion categories, will be added to the Copa Libertadores and the Qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, which are already underway.
To these tournaments will be added the Argentine Cup, whose schedule has not yet been defined with certainty, although it is expected that in mid-November the 23 matches that were pending of the 32nd final will be played. Between December and January the remaining instances would be played.
This accumulation of contests will generate a calendar with very few free days until the end of January. Only then will it be time for a pause.
