The number of new positives for coronavirus in one day soared this Wednesday in France to 18,746, compared to 10,489 the day before, announced the Public Health Agency.
New cases rise to 653.509 infections since the start of the pandemic, while there have been since then 32,445 deaths, of which 80 were registered in the last 24 hours.
On the other hand, the positive rate in diagnostic tests has risen one tenth in one day, to 9,1%.
In the last seven days there have also been 4,625 hospital admissions due to complications related to COVID-19, of which 919 had to be directed to intensive care units.
There are 1,267 active sources of contagion across the country, 239 of them in nursing homes and dependency centers, and 96 new compared to the previous day.
Of the 101 departments in France, 67 are in a situation of high vulnerability due to the strong circulation of the coronavirus, a figure that has not changed compared to this Tuesday.
