If you are dissatisfied with your hair, be careful before having one or more extensions applied. This is the message of Justin Simien’s horror Bad Hair, of which a new trailer has arrived.
In horror, it can be people, animals, demons and things that cause death, and among these there are some really bizarre ones. None, however, is as curious as the extension in Bad Hair begins to animate and sow terror. Bad Hair, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, teases, through the disturbing story it tells, the obsession that African American women have for straight, long hair. In reality it is a mania that also unites many girls of any race and origin to whom mother nature has given a frizzy or curly hair. However, to have the idea of a revenge by artificial integration of human hair was Justin Simien, the director of the film Dear White People and the Netflix series of the same name, which tells of a group of African American boys who attend a prestigious American university where almost all the students have white skin.
Bad Hair, which is curiously set in the late 80s, will debut on Hulu on October 23 and today we can show you the official trailer. In the cast there are Elle Lorraine, Kelly Rowland, Vanessa Williams, Jay Pharoah, Lena Waithe, Blair Underwood e Laverne Cox. We also have the official synopsis of the film.
Horror satire set in 1989, Bad Hair follows the story of an ambitious woman (Elle Lorraine) who gets an extension applied in order to break into the world of musical television programs. Her rapidly growing career is in danger of coming to a halt when the woman realizes that her new hair may have a will independent of hers.
