The hockey match between Frisk Asker and Lørenskog, played under Saturday’s 21-year-old, came to a terrible end when Frisk Asker’s defender Mats Hildisch really seriously injured.

18-year-old Hildisch collided with a goal post. He was transported to Ullevål Hospital, where he was operated on Sunday evening. Saturday’s match was suspended immediately after Hildisch’s injury.

On Monday, the Hildich Society reported that after careful examination, Hildisch has been diagnosed with a permanent spinal cord injury that has led to paralysis. According to the press release, Hildisch will spend the following week at Ullevå Hospital and will then be transferred to Sunnah Hospital for rehabilitation.

– We at Frisk Asker have compassion for Matsi and his family and will do everything we can to support them in the future. The most important thing for Mats now is to get rest so that he can use all his strength and energy in the future for the heavy rehabilitation period he is facing. The family is moved and extremely grateful for all the sympathy and support they have received from the entire hockey community, the club’s statement says.

According to the club, Hildisch’s family now wants peace and that in future inquiries will be addressed to Frisk Asker’s GM Nicolay Sørensenille.

The 175-centimeter and 75-kilo Hildisch is Frisk Asker’s own breeder, who has also played for the Norwegian national under-16 and under-18 national team. in ten national matches he collected 5 (1 + 4) power points.

In the 2016–17 season, Hildisch collected hard power 4 + 28 = 32 for the defender in 18 matches in the Frisk Asker under-16 team. In the 2018–19 season, he scored 28 (8 + 20) power points in 28 matches under the age of 18.

Last season, Hildisch played 27 matches in the under-21 team and collected 16 (4 + 12) power points in them. This season he also had time to play one match in the Norwegian main series.

Hildisch won silver on both the 16- and 18-year-old club teams.
