Motorola presented in July of this year one of its most powerful midrangers with 5G: the Moto G 5G Plus. Since then we knew that a Moto G 5G was looming on the horizon thanks to different leaks but it was not until today that we received official information about it. And that’s because Motorola advertises the Motorola Moto G 5G definitely.
On the same day that we also received the third member of the Moto G9 series the company of the batarang brought us another cheap and powerful mid-range smartphone with access to 5G connectivity. It is the little brother of the Moto G 5G Plus that has plenty of hardware to defend itself.
Features of the Motorola Moto G 5G
We have in our hands an interesting mid-range phone with a huge 6.7-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD + image resolution with a 20: 9 aspect ratio. Standard but necessary to return to a midranger truly attractive from your frontal view. To crown its fashionable status the Moto G 5G also has its 16MP selfie camera embedded.
On the right side edge -from a frontal perspective- we find the volume control buttons, always grouped in pairs, and the screen lock / power button. The latter does not need to house a fingerprint reader because it is hidden on the back of the Moto G 5G, behind the Motorola logo.
The left side edge is a place for your SIM and microSD card tray but also for a button whose exclusive function will be to summon Google Assistant. Motorola seems to want its users to pay special attention to this button as they gave it a particular relief to distinguish it from the other buttons.
Now moving on to its dorsal design we see a triple camera grouped together with its LED flash inside a square compartment, all gathered in a 2×2 grid format. This is a design that we have already seen in several midrangers of the company but, especially, in the Moto G 5G Plus. Only that the Moto G 5G is distinguished by wearing different colors.
Speaking of its hardware, the 5G connectivity of the Motorola Moto G 5G is possible thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor, a slightly less powerful version than the popular Snapdragon 765G. It is accompanied by a generous 6GB RAM chip, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5000mAh battery.
As if this battery was not already generous enough, we can charge it from 0 to 100% in less than an hour and a half thanks to its fast charging power of 20W.
Motorola advertises the Motorola Moto G 5G in black and silver at an estimated price of € 300 (approximately US $ 355).
