The tremendous fright that was experienced in Paris by a ‘supersonic’ noise that It looked like an explosion and it set off all the alarms among the inhabitants of the French capital and even caused a moment of bewilderment during a game of Roland Garros.

The Paris Police Prefecture explained through its social networks that there had been no explosion and that it was “a fighter that has crossed the sound barrier” and made a call: “Do not saturate the emergency lines”.

However, the noise was heard in the Roland Garros match, facilities located in the west of paris, in full match between the German Dominik Koepfer and the swiss Stan Wawrinka.

The sound was so loud that it baffled the athletes, when Koepfer was about to serve in the second game of the match. Both players looked at the sky after listening the loud roar, without knowing what was happening.

The game went on smoothly and ended with victory for the Swiss by 6-3, 6-2, 3-6 and 6-1. Wawrinka now awaits the winner of the duel between the French Hugo Gaston and the japanese Yoshihito Nishioka.
