Reyero starred in a confrontation with the Minister of Health, Enrique Ruiz Escudero (PP), on account of some protocols for the referral of patients from nursing homes, in which the transfer of the elderly to hospitals during the health crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic was rejected, and which, according to Escudero, was a “draft” sent by mistake”.
Reyero, in a very cordial letter to Ayuso, maintains that “the management of the residences is currently quite controlled” but asks “to remain alert.” However, he calls for a change in the care model for the elderly “both in the Community of Madrid and throughout Spain.
