The management committee led by Carles Tusquets who has led FC Barcelona since Bartomeu’s resignation, has decided to take the bull by the horns and has already started to make his first relevant decisions. According to ‘La Vanguardia’, the new directive has dismissed Jaume Masferrer, one of the advisers to the former president and the leaders of ‘Barçagate’.
With the departure of Bartomeu, the management board considers that Masferrer’s continuity had no logic and they have opted for their immediate dismissal last Friday 30.
Masferrer is listed as the responsible for hiring the company I3 Ventures, who was dedicated to posting messages on social networks slandering on some figures in the history of the club, as well as current first team players.
For this reason, when the whole ‘Barçagate’ scandal broke out, the former president’s confidant was suspended from employment, but not from salary, until the subsequent audit carried out by Price Waterhouse Coopers, where he was reinstated to the noble area of the board.
However, the management committee of Tusquets has not been slow to make a decision regarding its future and, beyond their previous controversies, they consider that It no longer has a place within the organization chart of the club.
