The iPhone 12 mini was eagerly awaited by many users, not only because of the lower price, but also because of the size that makes it easier to use with one hand.

However, some of those who bought it and already received it ran into a technical problem that they quickly reported on social networks such as Reddit and the official Apple forum.

The problem occurs when the smartphone is in the lock screen, and the user cannot unlock it or turn on the camera directly in this mode.

It seems that the problem only occurs when the thumb is used. With other fingers, unlocking is possible, however, with a smartphone designed to be used with one hand, this task falls to the thumb.

Apparently, it’s a matter of grounding or conductivity, because the problem disappears when the phone is charged or used without a case.

After the large number of users who complained in the three days since the launch of the iPhone 12 mini, it does not seem to be just an isolated problem. Apple has not yet had a reaction.
