Cordelia (Catherine Deneuve), the queen of the village under siege, sends the faithful soldier Beltorax (Guillaume Gallienne) in Gaul, to ask Panoramix of the magic potion, the last hope to counter the Roman army.
Arrived at their destination, the officer meets Asterix (Edouard Baer) e Obelix (Gérard Depardieu), struggling with Goudurix, the spiteful nephew of the chief Abraracourcix, who has just arrived from Lutetia and must learn to behave like a real man. The three are instructed to take Beltorax and the barrel of magic potion back to Britain, but during their journey the Romans repeatedly try to stop them and take possession of the magic filter. After various vicissitudes, the heroes arrive at the home of Beltorax’s girlfriend, Ophelia, where his governess also resides, Miss Macintosh, of which Obelix falls madly in love.
