The title takes up the famous phrase that in the Odyssey, Ulysses says to Polyphemus to deceive him and save himself. Terence Hill is the protagonist next to Henry Fonda, here at his latest western film. The soundtrack is signed by Ennio Morricone, who composes a sort of over the top version of the music he had created for dollar trilogy of Leone.

The story of My name is Nobody it is set in 1899. The young and light-hearted Nobody, more ready to joke than to use the gun (in which, however, he is very skilled) has as his model the legendary gunslinger Jack Beauregard. An elderly, tired man – who has an account to settle with the man who killed his brother – is content to take some gold from him, wishing now nothing more than to leave the West and embark for Europe. When Nobody, who has never ceased to tail the man he admires, discovers the disappointing truth, he decides not to let Beauregard leave before having made him carry out one last undertaking, which must make him ‘enter history’: the extermination of the ‘ Wild bunch ‘, one hundred and fifty outlaws who terrorize some states of the Union.
