We recently told you about rumors that some deliveries of Metal Gear Solid would be reaching PC And now we can confirm that everything turned out to be true.
The Twitter accounts of Konami and the digital store GOG.com they started having suspicious activity during the morning of September 25. The first tweeted the emoji of a box and mentioned the second, while the latter retweeted and accompanied with the exclamation mark and eyes emojis.
Shortly after, GOG.com posted a tweet to confirm what the fandom was already assuming: Several classic installments of Metal Gear were incorporated into its catalog, as well as a collection of retro titles by Castlevania Y Against.
‘After restoring classics like Blade Runner and Diablo, we now bring some of the best Konami classics in versions that are fully playable on modern computers. Join Solid Snake, Simon Belmont and other heroes on their adventures to save humanity, while getting many hours of fun gameplay in the process’, it reads in an entry published in GOG.com to account for this incorporation.
As for the titles of Metal Gear, this is the original game of 1987, as well as the first two deliveries of the line Solid, that is, when the franchise entered the world of three dimensions (and revolutionized, on the way, the video game industry with its gameplay, presentation and narrative).
When it comes to the collection of retro titles, its name is Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania & Contra and it is made up of a total of five titles: Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Against Y Super C.
