The best PlayStation game, HBO series: what happens to The Last of Us

Naughty Dog is having a great time with his screenplays. After filming began on Uncharted, we now have the confirmation of a series The Last of Us.

Even if we are in a pandemic, the big studios continue to have ambitious projects and find the most efficient solutions to continue filming movies and series that have entered standby. The latest good news is for fans of The Last of Us.

The game created by Naughty Dog exclusively for PlayStation consoles will enjoy a serialization on HBO. The Last of Us was originally released on PlayStation 3, with a remastered version later on PlayStation 4. In 2020, as a farewell message for the beloved console, the same studio released The Last of Us 2, one of the best games ever created for PS4.

The first details about the HBO series of the same name came online in March of this year. At the time, it was just a matter of signing a contract between Naughty Dog and HBO, without the details of the partnership being very clear.

As for the production part of the new show, the script and the position of creative director will be occupied by Neil Druckmann. He also created The Last of Us for consoles. Because he needed a man anchored in quality TV content, the position of producer will be occupied by Craig Mazin, known to the general public after he created Chernobyl. Sony PlayStation Production will produce the future series.

The adventures that will arrive on the screen will be deduced from what happened in the first game in the series. If you haven’t played The Last of Us, it’s mostly a zombie story – “The Infected”, in an apocalyptic future where most of the population no longer lives.
