The 2020 edition of the Art Safari exhibition started in September. If you haven’t seen her, now is the time. One of the most unique art exhibitions now has, in addition to two art collections, an impressive artificial intelligence installation.

One Night Gallery is the first new media art gallery in Romania and curates two art collections at the 2020 edition of Art Safari.

Going beyond the conventional framework of art – a defining thing, I could say – One Night Gallery presents the artificial intelligence installation, Neural Mirror.

You can instantly translate yourself into works of art

The Neural Mirror artificial intelligence facility is designed with the help of neural networks and an in-depth learning system. With the help of Neural Mirror, the public can experience a real-time transfer of their own artistic style image.

“Mirror” is based on Neural Artistic Style Transfer technology, an AI technique that can extract the visual style of a work of art, and then recreate in that specific style, any other image or even live recordings.

The operating system behind the installation analyzes the works of artists, learns and extracts their features, understanding the textures, colors, shapes or other elements of composition.

Following the learning process, this “mirror” uses elements previously processed by AI and generates new images and footage. This means that while you are taking your usual picture in the mirror, only in front of this special mirror, you will be transposed into the universe imagined by artists, and your selfie will be a truly memorable one.

The Art Safari exhibitions, which include two art collections and the Neural Mirror installation, can be visited in the Victoria Tower space until September 27, and tickets can be purchased online. For a completely different experience from the traditional ones, the 3rd floor of contemporary art is available for a tur virtual.
