The director of the festival, Oana Giurgiu, said in a statement: “Unfortunately, we had to postpone this festival because in the Biertan area there is a possible epidemiological outbreak and both we, the organizers and the authorities, thought not to risk in no way the health of the participants or the local community. We hoped until the last moment that we would be able to find a solution to organize this event that we care about, but we decided not to sacrifice the full experience of the festival which includes in addition to film screenings and a specially designed camping area, ghost- hunts, cine-concerts and bike tours around ”.
Those who have already purchased tickets for the edition that should have taken place at Biertan will receive the money back, based on an email sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The festival team is dedicated to continue finding the best solutions to organize the Full Moon festival – the first event in Romania focused exclusively on horror and fantasy cinema.
Organized by the Association for the Promotion of Romanian Film and presented by the Transylvania International Film Festival, Full Moon intends to offer the public the best horror and fantasy productions, both classic and modern, films that have either become landmarks of genre cinema or are about to become.
