A few days ago we shared information with you about the free trial period on Netflix, which has been removed from all markets where the service is available, so that new users have no way to test the company’s catalog and decide whether or not it is convenient for them to contract the membership.
Given this, Netflix has experimented with other offers, such as taking part of its content for free to YouTube or Pluto TV, but now new information has emerged about a special event that would take place in December and that will have the name of StreamFest. As mentioned by ProtocolEverything seems to indicate that this event will begin on December 4 of this year and can be enjoyed from any device compatible with Netflix, that is, smartphones, consoles, Smart TV, streaming devices, etc.
What will be at the StreamFest?
What was found in the application code reveals that from December 4 users will be able to enjoy 48 hours of free access to Netflix, that is, you will be able to see any content without having to pay a single penny. Obviously this would only apply to new users, although it is possible that access will also be allowed to users who already had Netflix, but later stopped paying the subscription.
The company has been mum on StreamFest, but a spokesperson for Netflix mencionó a The Verge who are always looking for different marketing promotions to attract new members and give them a great Netflix experience.
We don’t know if StreamFest will be limited to the United States or select markets, but we’ll likely have more information in the coming weeks.
