This Tuesday, the cities of León, with 124,000 inhabitants, and Palencia, with just over 78,000, will have their perimeter mobility restricted with the same measures as those already applied in Madrid for at least 14 days to meet the criteria set by the Ministry of Health.
Both cities belong to the region of Castilla y León, bordering the autonomous community of Madrid.
Palencia takes almost two weeks with restrictive measures in the social, cultural and hospitality sectors that have not bent the contagion curve or the incidence, with 536.71 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
As for León, whose data were already worrying last week, they have 510.45 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, which has led to a decision to confine them, the health authorities of Castilla y León announced today.
The two cities join Madrid, which today lived together with nine other municipalities in its region, its first working day of confinement with “normality.”
