Microsoft 365 has received new features designed to provide organizations and teams with the tools they need to adapt and thrive in the new world of work:

Microsoft Teams features that enhance meetings, including new scenes in Together mode and custom layouts that make featured content more dynamic and engaging.

Improvements of Microsoft Teams Rooms and capabilities to support the health and safety of those returning to work, such as Touchless meeting experiences, the Remote Work Room app, Teams casting, and voice assistance with Microsoft Cortana.

All the newly added features have been designed to ensure that employees can comply with safety regulations without compromising the power of collaboration.

Workplace Analytics within Teams will provide managers and leaders with an analysis of organizational adaptability, presenting information that helps them understand whether employees are at risk of burnout or whether they are able to maintain strong relationships with colleagues and customers during these difficult times.

The additional security and compliance features in Teams help with data protection, risk mitigation and compliance.

The new management capabilities of Microsoft Endpoint Manager facilitates the security and centralized management of company devices on any platform.

Products and services for industries

At the end of October, Microsoft will make available to the public the first cloud specific to the medical industry, Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare.

It will enable clients and health partners to provide better experiences, perspectives and care to people around the world.

With the new connector EHR Microsoft Teams, now in limited preview and available through Epic App Orchard, physicians can perform virtual visits or consultations to patients, through Teams, directly from their electronic medical record (EHR) system.

Solutions for security professionals

Microsoft Ignite brings updates to the audience Azure and Microsoft 365.

These include changes to Microsoft Defender, offers complete extended detection and response, improved protections for IoT, Compliance Manager, a new decentralized identity driver and new connectors and APIs for protecting identities, applications and services in the cloud environment, even outside of Microsoft.

Solutions for cloud services customers

The company announces Azure Communications Services, which makes it easier for developers to deliver enterprise-wide communication experiences across devices and platforms, using the same secure platform that underpins Microsoft Teams.

Ignite provides updates to Azure-based hybrid cloud servers, services, and devices, including Azure Arc servers, data services Azure Arc and Azure Stack Edge.

Dynamics 365 receives enhancement solutions from Microsoft

A new channel with voice functions within Dynamics 365 Customer Service, built on Azure Communication Services, will be available in private preview.

Two new add-ins for Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management: Cloud and Edge Scale Unit, will allow organizations to run critical storage and production processes on the Edge using Azure stack equipment to improve resilience and ensure uninterrupted operation, even when temporarily disconnected from the cloud.

Solutions for developers

The company announces low – code updates in Power Platform and Azure for professional developers, which can quickly create custom applications, bots, and workflows through integration Azure APIM and GitHub.
