Mexican Navy sailors rescued the passengers and crew of the Socorro Vortex liveaboard vessel earlier this week when it ran aground on the coast of the Revillagigedo Archipelago. Fourteen passengers — three Belgian, seven U.S. citizens, two British, one Irish and one New Zealander — along with 11 crew members — eight Mexicans, one British and two Italians — were picked up with few injuries, according to local press reports.
