Spanish international players Thiago Alcantara, Sergio Ramos Y Jennifer Hermoso they choose to be the ‘The Best ‘, in male and female category, of the year 2020 as revealed this Wednesday by FIFA, which also places Julen Lopetegui and Lluís Cortés as candidates for best coach male and female.

Among those aspiring to be considered the best soccer player of this ‘coronavirus’ year, are the Spanish Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid) and Thiago Alcántara (Bayern Munich and Liverpool), along with eternal candidates and favorites such as Leo messi(FC Barcelona) Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus).
Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Sadio Mané (Liverpool), Kylian Mbappé (Paris Saint Germain), Neymar (Paris Saint Germain), Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) y Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) complete the list of nominees.
In the female category, Jennifer Hermoso (Barça Femení) will also be accompanied by the Blaugrana Caroline Graham, and players from the mighty Lyon such as Lucy Bronze, Delphine Cascarino, Saki Kumagai, Dzsenifer Marozsán and Wendie Renard, as well as Pernille Harder (Wolfsburg / Chelsea), Ji So-yun (Chelsea), Sam Kerr (Chelsea) and Vivianne Miedema (Arsenal ).
As for the goal, the Swedish Hedvig Lindahl, Atlético de Madrid Female, opts for the goalkeeper improvement award and, in the male category, there are no Spaniards but they do appear in the shortlist Marc-André Ter Stegen (FC Barcelona), Jan Oblak (Atlético de Madrid) and Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid).
Looking at the bench, the Spanish coach of Sevilla FCJulen Lopetegui opt for the title of best coach after leading his team to revalidate the Europa League. Together with him, Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid) after winning LaLiga or Hans-Dieter Flick (Bayern Munich), after winning the ‘Champions’, opt for the award together with Marcelo bielsa (Leeds) o Jürgen Klopp (Liverpool).
In the female category, the Spanish coach of Barça Femení, the Spaniard Lluís Cortés, after leading Barça to the final of the ‘Champions’ in 2019 and dominating the domestic competition. However, Olympique Lyon coach, Frenchman Jean-Luc Vasseur, is the big favorite after the fifth ‘Champions’ followed by the team.
On the other hand, the ‘FIFA Rifle Award” The best goal of the year will come out of eleven as many candidates, with the only presence of a LaLiga player, the former Blaugrana Luis Suarez -now at Atlético de Madrid-, thanks to his goal against RCD Mallorca in LaLiga.
The voting for ‘The Best’ awards will be open until December 9. Two days later, FIFA will announce the three finalists in each category, and the winners will come out of a mixed vote between international coaches and captains, journalists and users of ‘fifa.com’. The gala will take place on December 17.
