Roger Schmidt is not happy with PSV’s draw at FC Twente on Sunday (1-1). The German coach thinks his team should have scored many more goals.
Dumfries: ‘You have to win here’
“We should have finished in the front. We played very well in the first half and we created many opportunities. But as long as you stay ahead 1-0, you know that a team like Twente remains dangerous,” Schmidt said after the game. FOX Sports.
The people from Eindhoven took an early lead against Twente via Donyell Malen. Eran Zahavi missed a penalty just before half-time and after the break the home team had the better of the game. Danilo fired in his penalty kick and made the 1-1 final score after a good hour of play.
“We lacked strength in the final phase. A lot of players have traveled a lot in recent days and were therefore tired. A few were also not in top shape because of their previous corona infection,” continued Schmidt, who no longer had to miss any players in Enschede because of the virus, but saw Mario Götze drop out beforehand (not entirely fit).

Captain Denzel Dumfries, who has fully recovered after his corona infection and also took action for the Dutch national team last week, also thought that PSV had failed itself in the Grolsch Veste.
“We have created enough moments to kill the match. When you get so many chances, you have to score more often. You just have to win here,” Dumfries said in front of the camera. FOX Sports. “I really did not expect them to score again. This is a costly point loss, I say that honestly.”
PSV is fourth in the Eredivisie by the 1-1 at Twente with twenty points after nine games. Leader Ajax has four points more than the Brabant players.
