The year is coming to an end and when it comes to the regular release schedule for Samsung we no longer have flagships of the highest hierarchy to expect from you. For that reason, rumors are moving towards the next big release and along the way, the Samsung Galaxy S21 + appears in a benchmark revealing some of its features.
Its appearance appeared in the database of Geekbench which is, together with the database Google Play Console, one of the most consulted websites when it comes to anticipating the existence and soon launch of new devices. But the surprise here does not lie in confirming the existence of this device but in the revealed processor.
Samsung Galaxy S21 + Leaked Features
We can go from less to more with the technical specifications revealed by Geekbench of one of the most powerful premium cell phones that Samsung will launch during the first half of next year: the Galaxy S21 +. First of all, we see that it has Android 11 installed from the factory and also 8GB of RAM. No surprise in those departments.
If we quickly review the rumors about the next generation of the Galaxy S we will remember that leakers of the caliber of Ice Universe published in their accounts Twitter that the Samsung Exynos 1000 would still be far from matching the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875. But the Galaxy S21 + chip is not listed as an Exynos 1000.
Instead, the popular app benchmarking indexed the SoC on board this prototype of the Samsung Galaxy S21 + as an Exynos 2100. Could it be a last minute modification of the Exynos 1000 that the rumors commented on?
Whether or not the South Korean manufacturer is closer than we thought to matching things up between its homemade chips and Qualcomm’s beasts will be seen in future editions.
For the moment, it is enough for us to know that the Samsung Galaxy S21 + appears in a benchmark with a processor codenamed Exynos 2100 that rivals and even surpasses in performance the rumored values for a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 that was not officially presented until the day of the date.
