Royole is ready to introduce its second flexible smartphone: the FlexPai 2

Although some may believe that the Samsung Galaxy Fold was the first flagship In the world to advertise and go to market with a flexible OLED screen, that title was actually taken earlier by FlexPai from a Chinese company called Royole. That’s why we’re excited that the Royole FlexPai 2 is certified by TENAA revealing its features.

In terms of physical appearance, not many things have changed from model to model. In fact, the Royole FlexPai 2 seems to have changed hardware almost exclusively from its predecessor and unless Royole talks about a new hinge or look of the design as an improvement, that would be all that the newer of the flagships offer us.

Royole FlexPai 2 details revealed

That’s not to say that the Royole FlexPai 2’s hardware is cheap. We cannot say that for a smartphone with a huge 7.8-inch diagonal screen and an image resolution of 1920 x 1440 pixels. This screen is contained by a thick side bezel where its single camera is also housed.

Being able to fold out the Royole FlexPai 2 allows us to use its quad camera both as a camera for selfies and as a rear camera. TENAA indicates that it would be composed of 64, 32, 16 and 8MP sensors, but the lenses that will accompany each sensor are unknown, but most likely the official lens.

Inside the Royole FlexPai 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, 8 and 12GB of RAM, 256 and 512GB as internal storage options and a 4450mAh battery with access to fast charging technology. It is also revealed that it will come with Android 10 installed from the factory.

Royole FlexPai 2 is certified by TENAA in colors “Magic Gold”, “Dark Night Black” and “Star Gray” but, unfortunately, no rumors about its release date or its price accompanied this certification. However, a TENAA certification is usually one of the last steps before a smartphone hits the market.
