Two armed criminals intercepted the former world boxing champion to steal his cell phone and money.
Jorge “El Roña” Castro He suffered a violent robbery in the San José neighborhood, in the Buenos Aires town of Temperley. Outraged by the fact, he issued a challenge to the criminals: “I invite these squirting kids that toiled me today to come to the gym”.
The criminal act occurred on Saturday, when the former world boxing champion walked to his gym located in the Lomas de Zamora game. In a flurry, two thieves got out of a car and intercepted it: while one of them pointed it, the other stole money and his cell phone.
“It was broadcast, they pointed two irons at me and I had to give all the money and the cell phone,” Castro said in TN, while recounting the dialogue he had with the thieves at the time of the robbery.
“I told: ‘Crazy, please give me back my cell phone. I am the Roña Castro‘. He answered: ‘What are you going to be?’ “, he recounted.
“I had one to hit like (John) Jackson, but the other was targeting me,” he said. Roña, marking a parallel with that victory he had against the American boxer in December 1994, when he pulled out a spectacular knockout after being submitted for almost the entire fight.
This victory allowed him to become world champion, a scepter that he retained twice.
In addition to the economic loss, Castro lamented the emotional value of the files that were in the memory of his cell phone.
“He had photos of family, friends and many figures, such as Diego Maradona,” he said, while releasing a proposal for criminals.
“I invite these squirting kids who toiled me today to come to the gym. Come, I’m going to teach them to respect and take care of life with the box. The day they learn they will stop being handsome,” was the promise of Roña on your Facebook account.
