Gathered in November last year in “The Irishman” by Martin Scorsese, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro will work together again in the film directed by Ridley Scott.

According to Deadline, the two stars are in negotiations to join the “Gucci” cast, a thriller about the murder of Maurizio Gucci by his ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani.

The events, which shook Italy in the 1990s, will be told in this film with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, Lady Gaga, as Patrizia Reggiani, but also with Adam Driver and Jared Leto.

Ridley Scott finished “The Last Duel,” a historical drama starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Adam Driver. Production, which was halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will resume next week.

“The Last Duel” tells the story of the last legally sanctioned duel that took place in France. The plot takes place in 1386. A woman accuses her husband’s best friend of raping her, and the two men have to fight by court decision.

The story of Gucci’s assassination is written by Roberto Bentivegna, based on the book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed,” by Sara Gay Forden.

Scott will produce the film, along with Giannina Scott and Scott Free Productions.
