The Australian Police reported a rescue operation of 46 minors possible victims of sexual abuse, aged between 16 months and 15 years, and the arrest of 14 suspects throughout the country.
Among those arrested is a 27-year-old man who worked at a nursery in the seaside town of Port Macquarie, about 400 kilometers north of Sydney, where they have been rescued. 16 children under 6 years old.
This male was accused of producing pornographic material and pedophilia, having allegedly abused at least 16 children under the age of 10, among other charges, indicates a statement from the Australian Federal Police.
The Police argue that the child caregiver took advantage of his employment in a daycarea to have access to around thirty minors, a situation that his partner, a 22-year-old man, also took advantage of.
Charges against detainees
In total, the detainees face 828 child exploitation charges, which includes the production and distribution of material on sexual abuse of minors on the internet, as well as on zoophilia against four animals.
In addition to the caregiver for children, the detainees, whose ages range from 20 to 48, worked as caregivers for the disabled, Volunteer Soccer Coaches, supermarket employees, cooks and electricians, among other jobs.
